On the shortlist

Montréal

The first edition that would run in two languages.

Montréal is on the shortlist, and it would be the first week filmed in two languages — which changes the conversation, the live show and the subtitling. Swap this copy for the real case before the list goes public.

Nothing is booked here yet. A city moves off the shortlist when the people, the rooms and the partners line up — and knowing who we should meet is the part we need help with.

If we come

What a week in Montréal looks like

  1. We pick a city

Somewhere with a Haitian community doing more than it gets credit for. We go there instead of covering it from somewhere else.

  2. We find the people

Days on the ground with the people, businesses and places that hold the community together — many of them nominated by the city itself.

  3. We fill the rooms

Live nights built with the city, not dropped on it — a mixer, a conversation, the show, a stage. What the week holds changes from city to city.

  4. The city keeps the guide

Everything is cut after we leave. The films and the city guide land here together and stay — a permanent record of Haitian presence in that city.
